Hyacinth

A wonderful display of Hyacinth in the two Belfast sinks near the garage. Blossoms have appeared on the Prunus and the Tadpoles have hatched and are swimming in the frog pond.

Easter

Aah! Got another!

I met a very interesting man in the lane yesterday photographing Corn Buntings which apparently are quite rare and yet plentiful in our garden. Jim takes the most astounding photographs and I would suggest a visit to his website which is http://shropshirebirder.co.uk is a must!!!!!

Good Friday

Phil

Watching Dinner (Phil the Pheasant through the raindrops)

I awoke to a wet and soggy day. Phil the pheasant was keeping watch from the top of his hill and has been there most of the day. The doves , pigeons, crows, robins, chaffinches, Shropshire canaries and buzzard have all paid us a visit today. Phyllis appeared this afternoon.

Phyllis

This morning I was awoken by Phill the Pheasant crowing from on top of the piggery roof. He was so comical as he crowed and flapped his stubby wings and nearly fell backwards. He brought Phyllis, his lady friend to the garden yesterday.

The weather is still cold and miserable but the Daffodils are beginning to open around the pond.
