First Daffodil and other Spring Flowers

8 Pied Wagtails visited the splash pool. A new male pheasant with no white on his head visited us today as well as 5 female pheasants. My tame pheasant was waiting for me this morning. A new skinny Robin was seen on the feeding table.

Partridges

A pair of Partridges have been in the garden as well as my tame female Pheasant. The male pheasant was on the piggery roof this morning. I have been busy in the garden for the last two days. I have cleared the bed next to the gazebo and dug up the Lemon Balm. Where to put it I don't know, perhaps at the back of the rose garden. I also cleared the rose garden and the area around the frog pond. I am now exhausted!

The Start of Spring

This morning I saw the male pheasant strutting across the lawn.
I paused to watch him and then saw that he had 5 females with him. I do so hope that lots of eggs are produced and the hatchlings grow to be wonderful visitors to my garden.

Weasel

So excited to see a weasel in the garden! He ran to and fro behind the bird table under the Ash tree. I also had fun watching a kestrel perched on the gazebo. The buzzards are back after the sheep departed and can be seen grubbing for earthworms on the field. The male pheasant stands on the hill in the morning waiting to be fed and the female phesant is as tame as ever and will feed 1m from me with little concern. The spring flowers are coming up and hopefully the sun will shine and I will be able to start clearing the garden for a spectacular display.
