The start of Autumn

Faded Blue Flower

Bulrush

White Flowers

The new front facade

Lavender and Agapanthus

Sunflowers

I saw a grey squirrel in the garden this morning. He bounded along the side of the deck and then up on the hill and disappeared into the bushes. He went around the house and up into the Sycamore tree.

The Oak tree is beginning to drop acorns and I can see a change in the colour of all the leaves in the trees around us. Autumn is here!

The Bulrush has made one flower and there is also a blue flower from the spikey plant in the fishpond. In the other pond there are pretty white flowers.

I have pulled all the foliage off of the wall between the dining room and lounge and cut back the old rose and clematis. I have cut out the Honeysuckle and have I have planted a new rose and 3 of the Potato Vine plants, a variegated one for the middle and standard ones either side to go over the 2 porches. I have also planted Lavender and Agapanthus between the climbers.

Yesterday the male Pheasant and his 2 lady friends were on the hill.
