A wonderful surprise this morning! I saw a female pheasant on the hill this morning. She didn't stay for long and soon flew over the hedge, but it was such a thrill to see her in the garden. I do hope that she becomes a regular visitor.
A squirrel is sitting in the bird house near the Ash tree, helping himself to the nuts out of the bird food as I write. He is such a delight to see. We have not been able to harvest any Hazelnuts this year as the squirrel (s) got their first. Never mind I'd rather have the squirrels!
